Art improves mental health by reducing stress and anxiety, art club is a calm and relaxed space to help improve mental health.

Challenges

Over the past two months, we have seen more people coming to the art club, and have seen progress in their mental health and their skills. over the past 2 months, their art skills have improved, and are becoming stronger with every session. we have fun and teach them new skills to help them improve their art. We have seen significant improvement in their skills, confidence, and mental health.

one of the major challenges we have faced is getting the funds for the art club.


we want to offer these sessions for free however we do not have the funds to achieve this. we need resources such as paint, paintbrushes, sketchbooks and pencils for the group to use, however, we cannot get these resources without the funds, and it has proven to be a challenge to secure this for the art club.


Defining the Project

Many people struggle with mental health, confidence and anxiety, 1 in 6 children struggle with mental health, art club is a way to reduce stress and anxiety by being creative in a relaxed and calm environment, art has positive effects on mental health and reduces stress, 86% of people have said art has improved their mental health and reduced their anxiety. art club also helps improve social skills and confidence, it allows people to talk and get to know each other in a relaxed and friendly environment.


Why is there a need for the project?

Plans

moving forward, we plan to teach the group about the different art styles and how to create them, we will continue to improve our skills and create artwork using these skills. we are hoping to get more people involved with this group and secure more funds to provide the club with more resources and tutors .
